Well I have racked my brain and just can not come up with a better idea for a scarf jig. So I reluctantly built a new one today. (Felt so good to be back in shop and a bit scary too) I spent 30 minute or more trying to work out other options and I just kept coming back to the fact the table saw is a good tool for this. One cut and your done.

The biggest improvements are the handles and that fact I am not standing out of the 'line of fire'. I have a good view of what is going on at the blade. Not sure I will be really comfortable with this jig? It is an improvement though and it worked very well.
