What Reg said in regards to Joe's superb seats, but also make sure you haven't introduced any lateral pressure areas with the change in position. Even seemingly light pressure on the sides of your thighs can cause problems. It doesn't sound likely in your case, but I found that even what seemed insignificant bits of foam in just the right place would deaden my legs within minutes.
