I have found two things that have given me numb legs that I could easily deal remedy.

On a maiden voyage with a foam seat, my legs went numb within an hour. Slipping a thong under the front of the seat to tilt it up about 2 or 3 cm cured the numb legs within a couple of minutes. (For the benefit of UK readers, a thong is not a piece of women's underwear. I think you call them flip flops.)

Another foam seat in a different kayak needed the scooped out part to be made about 2 cm wider to cure the problem. Support for control seems to be better at hip level on the sides of the buttocks just 5 cm or so above the lowest point.
