: Hey Builders,
: I am lofting the stations for the Nikumi, a Tom Yost design, and have a
: question about station 8. It is the last station before the stern and I am
: not sure about the notches for the chine stringers. It seems that the
: chines don't have room to notch in do they just attach to the side of that
: station? That is what the pictures look like.
: Another question, the rear deck is flat so do I notch the deck beam in full
: depth or should it protrude 3/8 or so? The pictures on the web site look
: like the rear deck has a small amount of camber or rise to it. That may be
: pictures of the Nikumi 19 I am not sure.
: Help with these questions will be much appreciated.

OK I got a better look and it seems that the chines do notch except for #1 chine. That will probably just butt the station.
As for the rear deck the beam can notch in the station 3/4 and leave 1/4' above the station. That should level out with the gunnels if their edge is left square. I think I have this right if not maybe someone will post and straighten me out.
Thanks all Clayton
