Can't say I've done it, but the traditional way to make angled cuts like that in large keel timbers is to mark both sides ACCURATELY and cut it with a hand saw, first a little on one side, then a little on the other and so on, being careful to follow the lines on BOTH sides. This would be the ideal time to have a sharp, well-tuned handsaw.
