: Looking good, Rob! So what's on this weekend - paddling or fiberglassing?

Hey, Sean. So far it has been paddling. I have been helping friends get a start in kayaking by letting them paddle the VJ while I paddle the RP Sport (Chris Ostiland 12' design, incomplete but floatable). It's Sunday today and if I don't hit the river for a few hours, I will be taping the seams inside the cockpit. I won't be doing a glass layup coz I want this kayak to be as light as possible. Of course, I might run out of resin if I work on the kayak so I will have to measure things up to see if I can actually do it today. If I can't (sigh!) I guess I'll have to go paddling instead ;).
