: I'm about to cut the angled ends for a strongback, for a storm LT; any
: suggestions how to ensure the cut is 'square'? The dimensions are 2"
: X 4.5"; the bow section has a 16" diagonal cut. I can measure
: everything out 'square', but... cutting each side, I suspect it'll be
: difficult to maintain a parallel cut.
I don't know that particular build's idiosycracies, but the important elements to be 'square' or aligned - are the forms - not the strongback (external or internal).
So is there any simple way to align the form in question independently of the strongback? Like a couple of angled shims at screw or bolt locations? - that method is adjustable and possibly could account for any strongback malformation.
