Skin-on-Frame: I built another boat . . . . *Pic*

I sold last season's Sea Rover, and needed a boat to paddle on wonderful Boulder Reservoir, sooooo:
This one is another Yost designed baidarka - a full sized one, as opposed to the kid's boat from a couple of weeks ago. It's the prototype of Tom's hard chine "Rolldarka" design.
I suppose it rolls, but haven't tried it yet. It does paddle just great, at least in the flat water test paddle this evening.

17'9" x 19", 9oz polyester skin covered with straight oil based paint (an experiment). Weighs maybe 30lbs, maybe less. Took about a week and a half to build, all up, for about $135.

I like it!
