Sigh! I previewed a nice post with pictures last night that was supposed to be an update and what happens?: the post disappeared into the cyber netherworld. This has been happening very often of late, not sure why but anyway...I got the hull exterior glassed yesterday. Today, I will be using straps to hold the deck to the hull while I glue it together. I haven't used straps before so this should be interesting...really easy if it works compared to using copper wires. If this works, then tomorrow I will sand the deck smooth then use real maple leaves culled from trees in Toronto two years ago to create colorful onlays on the deck. If that works, I'll toss glass on top of that and get 'er all done in one shot. I will also be glassing the coaming and prepping the riser and maybe prepping a seat of some sort (probably a WD S&G seat) so that I can wet-test the kayak this weekend at some nice quiet local lake.
