It is closed-cell foam, so it doesn't absorb water. It doesn't have much rebound when compressed, so its not nearly as durable as something like minicell or EVA. You can buy a 4' x 8' sheet - enough material to make a life time supply of foot braces - for less money than it would cost to make one foot brace from minicell...
: Is Blue board insulation waterproof? (or more accurately, water resistant?)
