: I have recently bought a Dagger Crossfire + a Eskimo Gambler for my son and I

: simple. Bit of a silly question I know but can I remove the foam wall and
: somehow replace with buoyancy bags?

No. Removing the upright wall is not a good idea but you can scallop it from each side to gain heel room. You can also pull the thigh braces out and fit perfectly against the deck. The wall is not so much for bouyancy as it is for support. I would however add split bags in the stern to displace any water in the event of capsize. The Crossfire is my kayak of choice for WW. It may be old school or even pre-school but performs great.

Best,

Reg
