I used Carlsons HULLS freeware to get the offsets that I wanted. But, of course, this boat is modeled on a number of other, similar boats, mostly wooden. Reinventing the wheel would have been silly.
Ken Basset's "Liz" and "Firefly" designs, as well as CLC's "Annapolis Wherry" were all inspirational, but there were others, too. I haven't rowed any of those three I mentioned, but the more-capable-than-a-scull, but less-ponderous-than-a faering/dory/peapod/etc concept really appealed to me.

I'd be happy to make the .hull file and offsets available to anyone who might want to build one. There's no instruction manual, though . . . .

I'm calling this my RUTH design, after both of my Grandmothers.
