Hey Scott, thanks. The boat is designed by Rod Tait with Orca Boats. I got him to raise the deck by an inch and lengthen it by 6 inches to a total of 17'10" with a 23" beam. I do a lot of extended trips up the coast and wanted to be sure I had enough storage for at least a couple of weeks. Haven't tried packing it yet so that learning curve is still ahead of me!

I have to say that on yesterdays outing it handled beautifully. Tracked nicely with next to no weather-cocking and turned well on edge. She also felt surprisingly solid considering that there was very little weight in it. I still have some work to do to dial in the fit of the cockpit and get it to fit more snugly.
