Yes, I did. Originally I thought to cut off the stem or thin it using a utility knife of some kind. In the end, I couldn't because I mixed the epoxy and ONLY THEN remembered that I wanted to set the leaves on the deck. I had mixed a large amount of epoxy at the time and didn't want to risk losing some of it so I quickly laid out the leaves, then the glass (precut) and started gluing. I kind of like the fact that the stems appear raised. I noticed last night that there are a few wee air bubbles so I will make delicate efforts to fill these with a steel tipped syringe at a later date. So far I am very pleased with Nick's design and my own efforts.
