The TRAK uses teenie hydraulic jacks (whaaaat?) to rocker or straighten the keel. They are cubic money and are not likely to be a hot item in this economy.
Traditional SOFs were minimalist boats. The natives weren't overloaded with materials but were able to come up with ahull that was ideal for the conditions. Since their boats, and most of ours, flex as a method of absorbing loads, cranking stresses in intentionally could upset the whole concept.
Traditional SOFs, probably, have a couple of thousand of years on their development, already. They can be light, fast and cheap to build all at the same time. Why try to guild the lily?
