Troy,

I have built a Sonnet 16 two years ago. At 200 pounds I wish I had made it either a little wider or longer as the volume is marginal for my weight. That said I would recommend the boat. The build went easily. I did use Folbot spomsons. The boat is very light and fits in a duffle bag..

For someone with a boat storage problem, I would definately recommend the Sonnet.

The material costs were reasonable and the suppliers Tom recommended were efficient. I was even able to find some of the AL tubing in local hardware stores. But I did find the tubing from George Dyson to be less expensive. Letting the glue dry first and using a heat gun make the gluing process simple. I took my time and found Tom Yost's directions to be excellent.

In addition to the Sonnet I have built a couple of S&G boats plus a Yost type SOF. So I do have a bit of experience to base my opinion on.

John
