: 10% is the general rule. You need to modify your stem forms to match.

this is bjorn thomasson also says. I built his Njord 10% shorter and it works very well - very little effort needed for a good cruising pace due to low wet area.

I did not modify the inner stems at all. Made the deck over but that is another story, all about certain type of hatches.
