: My first kayak was a Guillemot expedition single. Very very nice boat but
: allot of work to build. But absolutely beautiful,47lbs,very roomy. My
: second was a Yost sea rider.Very fast and tracks straight and true and
: light,30 lbs.And really easy to build but has no room for me. I'm 6-3,size
: 12.5 feet. My wife fits fine. Now I am thinking of buying plans for a
: stitch+glue Night Heron or maybe a Night Heron hybrid high deck so I have
: room. Can a night heron be built without to much work from just plans
: without a kit. And is there any comments on the hybrid high deck or other
: s+g good fast sea kayak planes that will fit me that are 17-19
: feet......thanks.....kirk

I love my Pygmy Coho (4-5 years). I have size 12 feet and it's fine for me. They have a new higher deck version which you might like. There is also a high deck version of their Arctic Tern which my wife paddles. The Coho is 17.5 feet long and the Arctic Tern is 17 feet long.
