Hi Mike,

There was a discussion on this forum recently about the 'Stability Factor' of a design. It seems Bear Mountain Boat Shop developed & uses such a factor to rate their designs, and it uses 2 hydrostatic values you should be able to get from Hulls, FREE!ship etc. I have written a small .exe program that makes calculating the stability factor super-easy and I am going to make it available for free from my website any day now.

If you'd like, you can download it from the link below. It might help you with determining what end of the stability scale your kayak design theoretically sits.
