Back in may this year, Kudzu posted about his experiences with a concept called a 'Stability Factor', developed by Steve Killing & Bear Mountain Boat Shop as a way to rate the relative stability of their products.

As an amateur designer I was quite interested in how this may benefit the development of my own designs, so after following this up with him & doing some research of my own I decided a nice little spreadsheet would make calculations much easier & quicker.

I then decided that a simple calculator like this would make a nice little stand-alone utility, and I have always wanted to learn to write programs in Visual Basic, so I set about writing one.

I recently finished it & while it's nothing fancy, I think it works pretty well.

It's now freely available to anyone who wants to use it as a free download from the link below, guaranteed virus & spyware free.
