I have released V2.12 that has the unit conversion bug corrected.
Glen,
I grabbed a copy of the excellent Kayak Foundry (makes my little utility seem lousy in comparison) & noticed the graph given under the 'stability' tab is of the righting moment in ft.lbs, not the value of KN which is a scalar dimension of ft, inches, meters etc.
The 'default' hull in KF has a righting moment of 14.94 At a target displacement of 250lbs. Is this graph where you are taking your cross curve value from for your hull design, as righting moment & cross curve vale are not the same thing.
I cannot find cross curve values mentioned so if you aren't taking it from the stability graph, where are you getting it from so I can find it.
Thanks,
Phil.
: Hi Glen,
: The remainder of my post was something like: "Maybe I have stuffed-up
: the addition of inches to the units" but that seems the likely
: culprit now.
: Glad to hear it was using a comma instead of a point that caused the error
: you were getting, 'coz I couln't replicate it.
: I must admit, I didn't check deeply enough into kayak foundry to see what
: values it makes available, but I need to.
: Sorry for the inconvenience.. Please stick with using feet for units while I
: do some investigation & release a bug-fix.
: Regards,
: Phil.
