Hey Everyone,
I am finishing the skin on a Tom Yost Sea Bee. I used 14 OZ polyester from Dyson,Baidarka & Co. and I am very pleased with the skin. What I am coating the skin with is oil based polyurethane paint. I am finding it seals the weave good however I have some stiching holes in the seam that are in need of a greater build up of coating material. In the past I used the 2 part urethane From Skin Boat Store and it built up very well at the seams. So what I am asking is, Can I use a urethane caulk and work it into the seams to seal the stiching holes and then finish the painting. The caulk I have experience with is oil paint compatible and super flexible with great adhesion. If someone has experienced this please post a comment.
Thank You All Clayton
