Looks beautiful!
It's a pretty unique project and fun to make a GP in a different way.
For the reasons you stated on your blog, I don't varnish it. I like the simple epoxy finish, and it's not stored in the sun anyway. Without the varnish there is some blotching in the finish too, but after you use it a few times, it tends to go away. I'm more of a utility guy anyway.
You inspired me to think about vaccum bagging, so I'm reading the West manual on it.
It was fun following your blog on the build. If you don't mind, I'll add your photo to the webpage.
