Skin-on-Frame: Curved deck beams *Pic*
Anyone ever design and build a plywood frame/stringer boat with curved deck beams?
Working on a new design ... a SOF version of my previous S&G boat, and realized that it looks better with a nice curve rather than the straight lines I have been using. Just curious if any has tried this? I have some ideas and foresee where I might have some problems but I want to try this.
The rear deck has a very slight curve that should be no problem, it's less curve than most keels. The bow is not finished. What I have drawn maybe a bit to much curve to fast, so I will probably change its shape some. But you get the idea.
