I know this is a buiding forum, that's why were all here i guess and im all for that, the satisfaction of owning something you've made by hand far exceedes the short rush of buying a new toy ;-)

Oh and just to clarify, while this is my first kayak built from scratch, i have been building, restoring and repairing lots of wood and boatrelated stuff in the past, and working fulltime as a marinemechanic (mostly fuelguzzeling snotboats i must admit) but still see myself as a certified all thumbs amateur, so as for building in veneer, think i leave that to the experts.

Stripbuilding seems much more manageble, handling one small piece of wood at the time, i fully expect to be able to built a useful, even if not, perfect kayak.
