I only filled the weave where you could see the bottom/sides of the cockpit from above. Left the weave unfilled in the compartments and up under the deck where my legs will be (I'm planning to put a 3/8" foam pad under my feet, so the texture under my feet won't be an issue). I will fill the weave under the deck over my legs just for comfort when getting in and out.
