Strip: Kajak Sport Hatches for New OI? *LINK* *Pic*

My Outer Island No. 2 project has been on something of an unnanounced haitus due to a particularly obnoxious Texas Gulf Coast summer, plus the sudden acquisition of a cool new (gasp) store-bought boat. It's a Nordkapp that started out in plastic, then morphed into a fiberglass one in a way that was extraordinarily neatly done, I think. I have pics on Facebook. Yes, sigh, Facebook. Oh shut up. ANYWAY, the chief joy of the NERDkapp is the wonderful VCP hatches; they're not water resistant, they're waterproof. And so easy to get on and off. So . . . whimper . . . I'm a convert, I think, and more seriously than ever looking at using a pair of Kajak Sport 10-inchers on my new OI.

So who wants to comment on where's the cheapest place to get 'em, or why I ought to look at other makes, or other sizes, etc., etc. I've got time, the whole deal with this second OI is to NOT hurry . . . and so far I'm doing a great job of not doing it.

And if you want to mess with me about ugly black rubba bubba hatches on a wood boat, please reconsider. I would much rather you took me out with one clean head shot instead if it isn't asking too much.

PS: The fingernail file thing is a joke. Or was supposed to be. :)
