I mounted a electric pump, Owner made of parts with a manual switch and home made battery pact. When I reserched the pump the Brits used them, all home made. There are now some very nice mountain bike battery units for light that would work well.
I had a capsize in 8' to 10 ' swell with 2' breakers on top were a pump would have been nice. The price of good batterys is not cheap, most people will use the $15.00 hand pump. You also have to compete againts the foot pumps, more $ but less the electric.
