: and getting the water out is essential. At the marina there's lots of
: dinghies that are half full of water after a few weeks of hard rain,
: that's where this kind of item would find customers. People have a couple
: days to work/play on their boat and there's 40gallons of water in the
: dinghy, they could plop the portable pump in it and go on to other chores
: instead of sitting in a tippy dinghy full of cold water. Where they're not
: wearing wetsuit booties and a drysuit.

The idea for a single is good if you roll alot or paddle in rough water often, you'll be getting a significant amount of water in the boat even if you don't wet exit. In rough water stopping to pump is tricky at best. A foot pump though works well and never needs batteries.
