Standard procedure is to hot-glue the temporary forms in place. That detail was noted in my CLC Shearwater hybrid manual, and I've seen it in plenty of other blogs, narratives, etc. Stick to glue blobs, as opposed to running it in long fillets between the forms and hull. When it's time to remove them, the blobbish ones will come off easily with a whack to the form, from a mallet or solid block of wood.
: I'm about to start laying the deck on my hybrid, but I can't get the forms to
: stay in place. The clc manual basically says to force the forms into
: place, but the epoxy causes them to slip out every time. The only solution
: I have comeup with is to glue the forms in place. Has anyone else had the
: same problem, or have any suggestions?
: thanks
