Whatever you use over epoxy encapsulation has to provide UV inhibitors or it is unsuitable.
Clearcoat has been applied by a few here but I don't recall anyone coming back with a long term report.
For my part I think it's silly to view a boat as a piece of furniture. If you use it it will get blipped now and then. If you have an easy to repair finish you can keep the boat looking OK without a lot of hassle.

: anyone ever spray automotive clearcoat on instead of varnishing I mean the
: auto clear available are top of the line now and loaded with UV inhibitors
: it would stand to reason that a gun in the right hands could lay down a
: coat or two and save time in color sanding and polishing varnish as well
: as an ounce or two of wieght. Anybody any thoughts?
