: anyone ever spray automotive clearcoat on instead of varnishing I mean the
: auto clear available are top of the line now and loaded with UV inhibitors
: it would stand to reason that a gun in the right hands could lay down a
: coat or two and save time in color sanding and polishing varnish as well
: as an ounce or two of wieght. Anybody any thoughts?

It's been done several times, it's really pretty, it's also not cheap. Requires the use of a professional spray booth to achieve a decent finish or the surface will be full of dust and ruin the pretty surface.
