Nick, I apologize. I think your designs and books are of someone who truly knows his craft while offering designs that appeal to many paddlers.
And I apologize to those readers that were offended by my catylistic prompts to get those offset corrections posted. Somehow, I believed that it would go over as tungue-in-cheek. Guess not. Bad wording. Again, my apologies. I feel just terrible.
Previous to my last posting, the Corrections Page somehow eluded all my seemingly feable searches.
However, the resolution of the offsets for such a small craft is still quite low, and the buttock points on Form 3 appear to be with more error than the remainder of offsets. This and other obvious errors not addressed in the corrections make one wonder about the reasonable accuracy.
I understand Nick's reluctance to publishing tighter offsets while at the same time offering plans for sale. But then, he also published these offsets for the industrious, experienced lunatics like us to attempt to build from, without plans, the offsets we paid for when purchasing his wonderful book. If anyone here bought the book, like me, soly for the offsets (most of the other information was included in Nick's previous, excellent book), then his/her $23 was not of value as expected.
It appears as though most everyone here is quite content with skepticle offsets.
