That was a helpful video. Fewer and further stitches than I expected. I see how the floating combing ring works. What about picking up a boat with floating combing, and 30+ pounds lifed by that setup?

And, let me beat this horse a little more: The stitch holes getting filled by the polyurethane... I do get that the holes will be filled next to the cloth. But, if the base ring or combing riser is 1/2 or 3/4 inch thick, there's going to be enough natural flow or capillary action to seal the entire inside of the holes?
