: need a tool to open it. Maybe a screwdriver or coin.
: Another problum would be sealing the shaft to prevent leak. An "O"
: ring around the shaft or under the head y make a good seal.

I built an OI and modified the version that was in the plans. Instead of a round wooden wheel to turn the bolt, I used a couple of bike seat post bolts, the kind with the lever. The fastener is cammed. Just turn the fastener and lock down, the camming action does the rest. I was a little concerned with snagging myself on the holddown during wet reentery, but no problems so far the the hatches are watertight. Got the seat post locks on line for 12 bucks.
