I followed your link when reading this thread. Some great pics :-)

I wasn't sure though about one thing - it looked like you joined the scarfs on the boat, whilst applying the strips. Is this right? Or do you scarf first and then add the strip when the scarf is dry? The latter is obvious, but the former seemed like a bit of a time-saving idea. But I wondered if the strips would align properly like this or want to bulge out at the oint?
