The CD Expedition was my first choice for factory kayaks when I was looking to buy one back in 2000 before I started my big river trip. I opted out of the CD-Exp only because it costs more than I was willing to spend. Instead, I became a builder and used my first and second wood/glass kayaks for the trip. In the end, building has cost me more money than the original CD-Exp price tag. I think I made the right choice, otherwise I would never have become a builder.
