: I bought a Joe Greenley seat for my Shooting Star, and basically copied it
: for my wife's Storm SLT, using one of Joe's presculpted seat bottoms. I
: made the back more than twice as high as the small back of the SS seat,
: molding the seat-back strips around a 33-gallon plastic trash barrel, then
: glassing them, and adding minicell to the front. (The seam in the foam
: back you see is due only to my being unable to get a larger piece of foam
: at the time.) The rear view shows the strips and some pads I added to keep
: the seat back from rubbing on the coaming riser. The support on the seat
: back needs to be thicker (Joe's is about 6 inches thick and quite
: inflexible), and I plan to add another layer of foam to it, once my local
: dealer gets some stock. Hope this helps. It's quite a simple project, and
: both seats are super-comfy.

That looks slick, and answers some questions I've had. Here's another one - How did you attach the back to the seat? It looks a metal strap going into the back, and down under the seat? Is that correct?
