If you are talking about the metal "U" shaped 'stud' used in walls. they are quite flexible in the twisting direction. Seems like it would e hard to keep from ending up with a bit of a cork screw effect on the final hull.
hmmmm maybe 2 of them nested open side to open side to form a box beam.....
