:-) FWIW I think I am going to shift to 7-9 oz fabrics from now on, unless the boat is one I know will see a some creeks where the risk of damage is greater. I don't abuse my boats but I use them. I am not afraid to put them in some rough spots and drag the bottom across stuff. So I have been using the heavier fabrics so I don't have to worry.
