Kudzu,

Thanks for that bit of wisdom, I didn't think of that. Maybe the 14' Auk would still be the way to go. Has anyone out there fished out of one? I should also mention it is only going to be used on fairly small rivers and small lakes or ponds.

: Shorter boats have to be wider to have the same stability. A longer boat
