Here's what I did for my Shooting Star. The maple shown is quarter inch or close to that, as I recall. Resawn from a 3/4 inch piece using a 10" blade on the table saw and flipping the piece to get the depth of cut I needed. I sanded it reasonably flat and let the Titebond make up for minor irregularities in the three-ply lamination. I let the grain run the long way in the outer laminations, for appearance, and used the offset angle shown for the center piece--not a true 45 degrees, but that doesn't really matter; the idea is to make a sort of plywood to cancel out any potential warping. The finished bow is shown in the other link, and it's still straight after five seasons. Bottom line, if you have a table saw you're good.
