The One Ocean Cape Ann HV is rated as being ideal for a 277 pound paddler, so might be your best bet. In addition to the Cape Ann, check out Newfound's Sea Wolf and Joe Greenley's Redfish Spring Run L. The Guillemot is a beautiful boat, but may not be the best choice for stablility. Nick's High Capacity Great Auk is one of the most stable designs around for big guys, though. My friend Bob Zani has built both and says the Auk is easier to build too.
