You can sorta do that in Delftship ... but IMO it's not that easy and not that accurate for kayaks. Delftship opens with a stock hull and modifications are made to that to get what you want. You can input a background image and modify the stock hull to match the outline of the background image. But you need a GOOD quality scan to minimize pixelation of the lines (which ruins accuracy) ... and even with a good background image it may be tough to be accurate when ya match the lines of the image because small nudges of the stock hull lines to match the background image may not be visible on your monitor. I had a heck of a time getting lines to match within 1/8 inch or less.
