Another novice here, also contemplating a cold build.
I have read that kerosene ("paraffin" to our UK friends) heaters give off very fine products of combustion (soot too fine to see or easily filter) that will ruin f'glas/epoxy work.

I have been considering the use of a gas barbecue grille, so my question is whether propane puts out similarly harmful (to f'glas/epoxy work) stuff ?

I would probably stack fire brick on the grille and start heating it in the mid afternoon as the temperature drops. The idea of the brick would be to help smooth the temperature changes. If I turn it off the next morning, hopefully the heat in the bricks will sustain the temperature as the day warms up - yeah, iffy maybe, but I'm just thinking this out loud (-:
