For the sake of accuracy on this forum, the correct terms for milling is conventional and climb milling, which would imply that climb milling is not only, not always used, but is less common.

I do agree it leaves a nicer finish and is sometimes used as the final cut. This works when the work is held securely and the proper feeds and speeds are chosen. It is still a tricky practice for hand feeding wood into a high speed router setup.
