I think so, mine does the same thing. When I skinned my kayak it was around 34 degrees C. When the temperatures goes bellow 20 the skin is loose, it tightens with temp. going higher. I think if I reskin the boat in cooler day it will stay tight. May be it is a good idea to skin in winter as I don't plan to use the boat in cooler than winter day.
