: Early Friday morning with the temperature about freezing I drove by a local
: lake with my daughter and the mist from the warm water was spectacular. As
: the sun came up it was almost mystical, it was only about 2 feet high
: above the water but extremely thick.. We got up early Saturday to enjoy a
: paddle in the mist but the day was warmer and the sky was overcast
: resulting in no mist. We did see a young Caspian tern still being fed by a
: parent and two young western grebe still riding on their mothers back.
: Winter may come a little soon for these late hatches. Link to pictures

Great pictures, not really thrilled to be reminded that winter's coming though .
