Hi John,

Many years back when I had the commercial shop, I managed to run one hand thru an electric plane, lost a considerable amount of skin and blood but it healed (eventually). My fingers still tingle when I start a machine that can hurt me, so I think safety every time. Trust me, you don't want this experience.

Btw, friends were coming to the shop and had keys to the place, to help me lift a deck onto a completed sailboat hull that same day. When they got there they never found me, just a large trail of blood. They later said they were following the trail looking for a body at the end (was a very large shop, 155 ft. end to end with several rooms). Just as they reached the end of the trail I showed back up from the emergency room with my left hand about 3 times bigger wrapped in bandages
