I completely applaud what Bill is doing with his Dacron/FG skins. It works well for him, and that's what really matters to me. If Bill hit some chop, and his skin split open, I'm sure he'd abandon the idea right away.

I suppose it's heresy for me to say this on a forum devoted mainly to Stripper and S&G construction, but I hate epoxy and fiberglass work. That stuff just drips no matter what I do. And then, when I try to make graphite tips on paddles, it sags and makes the edge profile suck for padding. Epoxy and me aren't friends.

That explains why I favor SOF construction, and shy away from 2 part Corey Goop for coatings. I'd have used Zar for my coating, if I had a garage or basement to work in, and a week to get coated. Instead, I had the back yard, and 4 coats of Dura-Tuff in one day. When I get a frame I just love, I'm sure there will be Coelan in the future.

Please don't anyone think I'm not on board with Bill's skin...

Bill, when was the last time you posted some pictures of your skinning process? Probably 3 years ago! Hah! Of course, it probably looks just like any other SOF...
